Reading books to my children is my outright best-loved part of our day. Every evening and most rainy days, my two kids and I cuddle up on the couch and together we read stories. Our collection has skyrocketed, and I am always jumping for joy to find a book that I am genuinely excited to add to our shelf. Their current ages are four and six, so we spend a great deal of time enjoying picture books. We received our copy of “Zara’s Magic: A Poetic Tale of the Power of Gratitude” by Britta Morrison as a holiday gift. This quickly became one of our favorite picture books.

Zaras Magic empowers children to make use of their own thoughts and feelings to shift standpoint on life’s experiences and challenges. It is an illustrated book with nothing but full positivity and thoughts about gratitude. Sometimes, I feel a little apprehensive when I think of how children can't help but be vulnerable and unsheltered to the negative influences in the world at much younger ages than ever before, no matter how much we try to look after them. At the same time, there are so many beautiful and good influences in the world as well, like this book, and I truly believe that keeping a positive attitude towards things and occurrences in life is a must.

This precious book has soft illustrations complementing simple, poetic words, a book that encourages a youngster to always keep a positive energy. There are a great many positive, self-affirming messages in this beautiful book for kids to soak in. Needless to say, I really loved this book! It is beautifully written and illustrated. The story is sweet and simple and easy to read. Parents will love it because it is the perfect length for bedtime reading. It quickly became my kid’s favorite book! It should be yours’ too!
