Three Sweet Nothings by Nikkie Sloane

April 25, 2018

I really enjoyed this book. I wasn’t sure what to expect, really. I mean, there are already a lot of erotic books out there since Fifty Shades of Grey came out so maybe I was looking for something really unique and my standards were indubitably high.

Let’s talk story. Actually, I had a good time reading the story. I didn’t find the twists and turns to be too shocking or surprising. It was entertaining, yes, though not completely original or appaling. It was a little bit dragging too.

The writing of this book is standard. I wasn’t blown away by its expressive style, but undoubtedly, it was a fun little read. I wouldn't say it was the type of book I couldn’t put down or anything like that. But it was innocent and an entertaining edition to the realm of wishful, romantic readers.

As an adult I liked the book well enough but felt it lacked the vertical extent to be profoundly momentous.  Honestly, I was a little distracted as a I read her story. I spent most of the book waiting long enough for the two main characters to get back together while she was busy entertaining other guys with meaningless relationship. It took some time, but when it transpired, things came to rather swift resolution and I felt a little let down.

Overall, I found this to be a fun and quick little read. I’m not sure I’ll be rushing it, but I may go ahead and take the plunge and read the author's other book because even if it wasn't a deep literary read, it was an exquisitely beautiful character-driven book. This is a fun book for those who love the hopeless romantic stories with an erotic twist  and who wish that love stories could just go on and on.
