Red Dot Shot is a memoir of the author's expedition to prevail over a lifetime of pain, distress and deception from his own father. Although it also talks about his experience as a hunter and outdoorsman, it exhibits more on how he never experience getting support, encouragement or love from his old man. But I have to admit, there were times where I felt that I was also out in the woods as he narrates his escapades. How the book was written is truly honest and inspirational. He tells us about the moments of triumph and the trials he has come up againts. With this, I can say that Elkman is truly brave in sharing his life with his readers, which is highly personal and might have been not easy to share with everyone.
This was actually an excellent choice for a good read. Although different people has different views about the whole story, I think everybody will like it. Read it and be prepared to be astonished, heartbroken, and be inspired.
